Eastern Wyoming Regional Director

"I grew up in Gillette, WY. I am married to a wonderful, supportive husband and have three great children, Justine, Scott, and Danielle. We all share a Golden Retriever named Jake.
I have been a volunteer peer counselor at the Women’s Resource Center in Gillette, WY for the past two years. Being in the “right place at the right time” blessed me and then moved me into the role of a Stop and Think presenter.
I love being able to go into the classrooms and interact with students. This program is designed to let me hear their feedback, treat them with respect and be real with them. I get to reassure students that abstaining from sex is okay and they respond positively to that.
I am so excited to see the impact Stop and Think is going tohave on our Northeast Wyoming and other area students. I love my job!"
Here is what a few students have said about the program:
- “I liked it and I think it will help me (a lot).” - 7th grade girl
- “Very good program.” - 8th grade girl
- “Abstinence isn’t bad.” - 8th grade boy
- “Her experience (personal) made it more real! It’s never too late to abstain!” - 12th grade girl
- “I like the style of it because it was not boring. Our speaker was fun.” - 11th grade boy
