Matt is very familiar with the Black Hills having grown up here. He graduated High School in 2003 and is currently married with two little boys.

    You may recognize Matt from playing/screaming in various hardcore bands throughout South Dakota. Matt's personal story is very relatable to high school students, which allows him to connect with them on a more personal level.

    Here is what Matt has to say about Stop and Think:

"This is an awesome program that requires students to think about the decisions they're making.
I love that we're not there to force our own agenda, we're really more of a vehicle for group discussion.
I like that we are able to be real with the students and enjoy hearing what they have to say.
We aren't there to tell them they are wrong, we are there to help them make the best possible decision for themselves.
I am truly blessed to be a part of this program.”
